DSIP

DSIP, or Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide, is a naturally occurring neuropeptide that promotes deep delta sleep, and sleep improvement is overwhelmingly what people run it for, with a smaller thread around stress and anxiety. Community dosing runs from 100 mcg to 1.5 mg, most commonly 1 mg, while clinician protocols use a far lower 25 mcg given intravenously. The tradeoff to know up front: there is no FDA-approved indication, so all human use is off-label or compounded. Effects on sleep and dreams are the dominant reported experience, and they are not uniformly positive.

Research Evidence

Evidence shape

DSIP carries a low tier of evidence, supported only by exploratory human studies rather than large-scale clinical trials. While nineteen published human studies exist across treatment and mechanistic indications, the research remains thin and lacks the rigor of registered, completed clinical trials. The current literature base is limited to these early-stage investigations, with no registered trials available to validate efficacy or safety at scale. Consequently, the data remains confined to preliminary observations, leaving the peptide without the robust clinical backing required for established therapeutic use.

DSIP dosing & protocol

How DSIP is dosed across research, clinician, and community sources — each evidence tier kept separate so the dose range, frequency, timing, and cycling stay visible without flattening different levels of evidence.
